Ive tried to pair and unpair and also restarted the machine. Posted on Mar 19, PM. Posted on Mar 22, AM. Hi everyone, took me a few weeks to sort out but I have my Airpods working fully on windows 10, this includes the microphone I am now able to use Airpods as a Bluetooth headset for gaming etc. The key is in the Bluetooth software that windows does not provide via windows driver update. For example I have a Asus BT dongle, when getting the drivers for this they only include the driver files, for Airpods you will need extra software that comes from the chip manufacturer Broadcom.

This is called Bluetooth Headset Helper. This is needed to tell windows to add Airpods as a headset as well as stereo headphones. For anyone else who has this adaptor and is struggling use this link and thank me later, again this exe comes with the driver AS WELL AS the management software needed to recognise Airpods properly.

Its not perfect and the driver is frombut I was extremely happy to get it working hopefully this will help others.

We help IT Professionals succeed at work. Kyle Santos asked. Last Modified: Apple Airpods microphone is not working with Windows 10 Pro.

M-track, un piccolo studio di registrazione in casa

After some research I found this response saying the microphone will not work. This is from two years ago. Why do I need this ability? I use Slack, Skype, Zoom daily and this would be nice to use and not have to resort to plugging in my earbuds to use those apps just so the microphone works.

Additional info: When I use my Airpods with Zoom I've noticed that I can hear everyone talking through the Airpods, but I believe my laptop mic is still the one being used when I talk. This is fine. I can hear people talking in the Airpods and I can still use the laptop microphone. It would be awesome if Slack and Skype would allow me to do the same as I do with Zoom! Thank you for reading. I've usually been able to use my airpods perfectly fine on my PC by pairing them as expected in settings.

However, this morning for some reason they just stopped working as headphones. The microphone is working, but there is no sound coming from the headphones whenever I try to listen to anything.

Usually, when I connected my Airpods, it would say: "Connected voice, music", or something very similar to that. Now, it only says "Connected voice". Sometimes it says "Driver error", but I have tried updating the drivers and it says everything is up to date.

I have searched many, many articles across Google but I have not been able to find a solution.

Thick rubbery mucus from nose

I have tried updating drivers, rebooting my device, and re-pairing my Airpods multiple times. If I set the Airpods as a default output device, I am able to get sound but it is very poor sound quality, and I can hear feedback and static. Even worse, the volume is extremely loud even on the lowest volume possible muting it works, but everything else it sounds like the volume is at the max.

Just to confirm does your AirPods are fully charged? If not, try giving them a full charge and then test to see if this helps: Charge your AirPods with charging case and learn about battery life. If not, you might try re-connecting your AirPods. The next step is to put your AirPods in your case and close it.

Wait 15 seconds, and then open it. Next, press and hold the setup button on the back until you see an amber light followed by a white light.

Then, re-pair the AirPods and test.
